New Features

Hotspot questions

  • Hotspot is a new question type available in Practique. Hotspot questions (HSQs) are ideal for the interpretation of scans, x-rays or DICOMs, or for example to locate specific body structures ahead of practical work.

  • Complex polygons identifying the outline of a hotspot can be easily defined by the author to mark the true outline on an image, x-ray, scan or single slice DICOM. Multiple hotspots can be placed on a single image.

  • Hotspot questions present the candidates with an image and they select an area or a ‘hotspot’.

  • Hotspot questions are automatically marked, awarding 1 mark for each hotspot correctly identified.

ProctorExam integration

  • Practique’s new integration with ProctorExam allows you to schedule candidates in Practique and upload into ProctorExam in one integrated process. This integration reduces the administrative burden when setting up an exam.

Item Author field

  • The introduction of a new item author field now allows you to designate one or more question writers as authors. Users who are named as authors will retain this across all versions and variants.

  • The author field allows the user to select from the list of authors in the system if they are inputting a question on behalf of someone else.

  • When upgrading to version 8.5 we will not automatically set the creator of an item as the author. If you wish to set the creator as the author for your items, please request this as part of the upgrade process.

Improved email functionality

  • New html email templates for custom workflows within the Practique item bank allow you to present information to your end users clearly and in a consistent manner.

  • DK-1536 Editable value for the Mandatory flag for SAQ and VSAQ item types

  • DK-1580 Change behaviour behind the blueprint dimension "Archive" button
